Called Home

When we were children playing

our parents called us home

we went

It's the same

when the Lord says,

"Come home."

Sister-in-law Josephine

got the call
last Monday

She told her sons

she was dying

At 4 pm the 5th

she went home

My understanding of

death has changed

Only the body dies

The soul is eternal and

doesn't skip a beat

I watched her

meet and greet

family and friends
also deceased

She doesn't need oxygen

Her body is no longer

half-moon shaped

You've arrived
