An elderly lady was plodding flat-footed pushing her half-full cart. (I hoped she wasn't driving.) The angle to the street was ribbed and looked too steep. She showed no sign of stopping.π± Might she lose control of the cart, be drug by it, or face planted on the concrete? Not on my watch! I rushed to her with raised hands. "Wait! Wait right there. I'll take it to the curb for you." She let go and stood stable. I backed down with my eyes on her. Someone backed up to me. The trunk popped open. An attractive lady took charge of loading the contents into her trunk. The elderly lady started toward the ramp. π² π± "NO!!!" we yelled. She stopped. The driver closed the trunk and helped the lady into the car. I returned the cart to the store.
Praise the Lord!
